Xiaomi which was primarily known for its stake in the mobile phone and communications market has been expanding slowly in different tech categories. It recently started selling its premium laptops to compete with Apple, and now we got wind that it just launched a QHD gaming monitor. The upcoming Xiaomi Mi Gaming Display is focused on our favorite hobby with familiar specs that will help it excel in the global market.
It features a 27-inch IPS display panel with a 2560 x 1440 native resolution and a 400 cd/m2 backlight. The response times were quoted at 1ms boosted and 4ms gtg, so its comparable with the current models like the Asus VG27AQ. Xiaomi also claims that the monitor is capable of 95% DCI-P3 coverage and is certified for DisplayHDR 400 for enhanced image quality and vibrancy.
The infographic on the Display Specifications page also mentioned that the monitor is pre-calibrated to have a delta E average of less than 2.0. Of course, this remains to be tested and verified by reviews and users, but it’s a good sign that the company is taking its monitor quality seriously.
The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Display also comes with creature comforts such as a fully adjustable stand and USB 3.0 ports for your peripherals. Full specifications aren’t listed yet, and we will update this article if we get more for those who are interested. It’s already available in the Chinese market with a more or less $300 price tag, and it is expected to become available globally shortly.
